About me

My name is Thomas De Schampheleire. I live in Antwerp, Belgium and work as an embedded software engineer.

My public PGP/GnuPG key: 7F9982F9

I graduated in 2007 as Civil Electrotechnical Engineer, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). During my studies, I have participated in two half-year study exchange programs, one at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and one at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden.

Please refer to my curriculum vitae for more details (warning: outdated):

At KTH, I wrote my thesis dissertation, titled 'Periodic Shutdown of Adaptive Chip Multiprocessors. An implementation in OpenSolaris' [PDF - 1.1 MiB]. The results from my work were used for the paper 'A study on periodic shutdown for adaptive CMPs in handheld devices', published and presented at the 13th Asia-Pacific Computer Systems Architecture Conference, 2008 (ACSAC).

During my stay in Sweden, I tried to keep a blog. It is still available at http://thomasisverige.patrickdepinguin.com, but it is written in Dutch. There are some nice pictures, though.
